I have been sober almost 150 days. However, I have gained 4lbs by switching an alcohol problem to a sugar and sweet problem. Any advice?

I am on my day 13 without taking pills. Is really hard. Food relaxes me. One thing that surprised me in the Natchotic Anonymous groups is how much sweets they eat.

I gained 8 kilos with my addiction to pills bassycally I sleep a lot, days sleeping or knocked out and eating. Also I get out to eat sugary and greasy food when I was drugged because of the cravings.

I want to lose those 8 kilos but I want to recover more so right now I am focusing on my recovery and I will try to focus on losing weight later.

Wanted to say that I don't know if you can adfor protein (because of the sub you posted this) but the keto diet always helps me with the hunger and the sugar and carbs cravings. After a few days I just eats normally amounts because when I am in ketosis state I don't crave overeating, so if you can afford a low carb diet with a lot of protein and fat try it and see how it goes for you.

Today I started eating low carb. Not counting calories or carbs grams just Yo easy myself into going keto in the next few days and lose those 8 kilos while I am recovering from my pill adiccition. I am really nervous because I tried several times to quit my pill adiccition since January and I relapsed several times, I had two overdoses in the last six months and a induced coma. I just ask for this to be the last time, in my NA meetings I told my fellows friends that I wanted this to be my last attempt. I really prefer to die or recover but I really don't want to go trough detox again. I hope I can recover, just finishing my day 13 without taking any pill.
