Been there for two months what is it

Looks like molluscum contagiosum. DO NOT SHAVE OR POP THEM. If you need to groom, use an electric razor and avoid hitting the skin. The waxy center is the crazy contagious part. Waternapkin1 is somewhat wrong. Molluscum is contagious, but in adults it isn't crazy contagious, at least in most cases. I had molluscum for 8 months and I didn't give it to anyone, even having sex. But still be careful, because it is called molluscum "contagiosum" for a reason.

There is no real evidence for sharing towels as a cause of transmission, but many claimed it was so be wary but don't avoid doing the things you like to do.

While a minor annoyance, molluscum is just that. It's STD minor leagues. The only thing that sucks about it is that all treatments to get them to go away are external and usually freezing the bumps off with liquid nitrogen or applying the prescription cream imiquimod are the only ways doctors will take care of them. Freezing can be quite painful, and you have quite a few bumps so it may take a few sessions. Once they're frozen, they scab and fall off. You may have scars. I had molluscum on my penis, about 6 or 7 bumps and only about 3 left a scar. It's not even really a scar, just a slight discoloration, it's barely noticeable.

Many doctors don't even think treatment is necessary because eventually your immune system will fight it off and treatment, especially for children, can be quite painful and scary. However, if you're sexually active, go to the doctor and take a few weeks off from sex.

Another side note, most homeopathic remedies don't work on genital molluscum, including Zymaderm that you can pick up at Walgreens. I've heard of tea tree oil and apple cider vinegar working wonders, but applying those liquids to your skin can also cause more harm than good if you use too much. Also, no homeopathic treatments are FDA approved. Only cryogenic therapy in a clinic and a prescription for Imiquimod are commonly practiced. Some doctors will deliver electric shocks to the bumps and some even scrape them off. You can go over these options with your doctor and find the best fit for you.

In the meantime 1) don't worry 2) abstain until bumps are gone or your partner is alright with the risk 3) see a doctor 4) don't use a razor on the bumps and don't try to pop them 5) take showers, not baths. molluscum love moist, dark places 6) try not to share towels if possible, but i really wouldn't worry too much 7) steer clear of homeopathic remedies until after you see a doctor. sometimes the remedies make the bumps hard to freeze off or make the cream not work as well. 8) wash your hands often!! especially after touching your genitals.
