Have you been treated differently than male siblings and how?

Yes. "That's not lady-like" was thrown around a lot. My little brother was "the man of the house" when dad was away (I'm the oldest, so I was always irritated by that). Dad kept trying to reach the boys how to use his tools, complaining because they didn't want to learn, but it took forever to convince him to teach me a thing or two. When it came to punishment, my little brother was singled out even when we all fucked up.

I specifically remember him hitting us girls, then telling my brother in a very calm voice "I'm gonna be harder on you, because you're a boy and they're girls" before he started hitting him. It was more than once, and it was definitely harder. I've never wanted to hurt my dad more in my life than that day, but I was little and I was scared.
