Before Wawa found data breach exposing customers’ credit and debit cards, Visa warned it could happen

I went to Europe last summer, and it really is embarassing how far behind we are in payment technology. Even though we have caught up with chips, it's still not fully up to date. Eruopeans use PINs instead of signatures, which is MUCH more secure.And it was funny because every cashier I went to was so confused when the machine printed out a receipt that I had to sign. Half didn't even have pens on them.

Also, I simply cannot believe we still don't have these things in restaurants yet. They are wireless credit card readers that allow waiters to run your card right at the table instead of running away with it to do who the hell knows what with your card. Europe has had them for at least a decade now. They are safer for the consumer and more efficient for the waiting staff. Why don't we have them?
