Beginner DJ , where do i get my music from??

Bandcamp first and foremost. You can download high quality music in the file format that you want for CHEAP, sometimes entirely free. Even the download process is smooth. Anytime I can find a song on bandcamp that is my first stop.

My second is junodownload. Juno has an incredibly deep library of music that it offers. You can find many versions of many songs here and most artists you’ll never have heard of. They have updating release charts, singles charts, album charts of all different genres. It is great to browse through, check them out on the built in junoplayer, and find great music with high quality downloads. I only use .flac and both bandcamp and Juno offer flacs for every song. Juno is a lot more expensive though.

Third for me is beatport. It’s popular for a reason. It has the new hits. It has the bangers. It has all the popular stuff in high quality download. Unless I’m mistaken, they do not offer flac, but you can get the wav and then convert it. It is more expensive than Juno, but it’s easier to find more popular music across the world on beatport.

And I know it’s not necessarily ethical, but if you’re looking to get decent downloads to practice at home with and figure out what songs you really want in your library, you can use a YouTube download site for free. The quality won’t be good enough to bring to loud speakers though and of course it is illegal
