Beginner playing G string KILLS my arms

when I try to relax and then my bowing gets really sloppy and squeaky

The thing about learning to play without tension is that you have to relearn to play. That means whatever technique you had before to make a non sloppy, non squeaky sound had tension baked into it. Now you need a new technique, and that will need an adjustment period in which you pay more attention to your form and relaxation. It’s normal for other aspects of your playing to suffer when you have to learn something especially new or difficult.

If you are constantly monitoring your tension, then that’s the most important thing right now. Keep doing that. Slowly, you’ll be able to put more attention back into making a good sound.
