Behind the Scenes

It recognises the English language and has an English population.

Is this what you think or what the UK thinks? Could you show me where it says so in its constitution? Because as far as I know, the UK is one of a few countries which doesnt have any official language. In fact, there was a country with an official language named England once, which later decided that it doesnt wanna be England no more. That official language was French.

This seems to be a generalisation based on a stereotype which doesn't exist, you claim that the English try really hard to be as little English as possible?

Well, I said nothing about what the English people try(and majority of the English people live outside the UK), I said what the UK tries. Do you actually have any documents that say you are English? There are 8.5 millions of English people in Australia, there are 6.5 millions of English people in Canada and how many English people do you have in the UK?

You give me your opinions. I try to show you opinions of the country whose flag you want to define as English. Its not the English flag, its the British flag. That flag is a trademark/property of your country and your country clearly defines it as British and never mentions it as being English. And I dont know why you think thats the English flag.

I'm just stating that it is more correct and logical to associate English with England as opposed to American.

I can state that its more correct and logic to use "comed" as the past form of "to come". I do agree its more logical, but first, it doesnt necessarily mean it must be so, and second, English and British are different things.

Just because they own the website doesn't mean they're not wrong.

Yes, but that doesnt mean theyre wrong as well. Even according to your logic, they should use the English flag, not the British one. What I was trying to show you is that they use the American flag for American English. There are actually a lot of websites which have both versions of English and both flags.
