Why I think being an agnostic is better than being an atheist.

So, I've read quite a few of your responses to other commenters, and I have to note you that you are coming across a being willfully ignorant. It's one thing to honestly not know something, but it's quite another to decide to intentionally turn a blind eye to the arguments against your position.

If you are positing the existence of something, or a truth for something - anything for that matter - it is your obligation to provide the evidence for that something, whatever it is. Until you do that to someone's satisfaction, they have the right to place aside your claim of the existence of that something, whatever it is.

Let me give you an example to think over. The other day, as I walked through the forest with a few friends, we heard a voice. It called itself "Shamash."

Among other things, this voice said, "Do not return evil to your adversary; requite with kindness the one who does evil to you, maintain justice for your enemy, be friendly to your enemy." These two thoughts are essentially "love thy neighbor" and "turn the the other cheek."

When I came home I googled the name "Shamash" and here is what I found http://history-world.org/advice_of_an_akkadian_father_to_.htm.

I even have confirmation of who Shamash was. Now, can you prove this did not happen? Of course not. You would have to be agnsotic about this. Or, as with most of us, since this so strongly goes against your human experiences, you probably require greater proof than just my word (or even that of my friends) and a google reference.

Now you have an understanding of why atheists lack the belief that you have - because the evidence you have presented is so poor. Think about that - never be willfully ignorant about anything - be true to thyself.
