No, I'm not. Why does it always have to be "gentrification" for white people to have black neighbors?

Black neighborhoods exist because Black folks are economically disadvantaged and can't afford the more affluent neighborhoods.

Yes, that's a good reason for blacks to be unable to move into white neighborhoods, however it does not explain why white people do not move into black neighborhoods -- neighborhoods which are much more affordable, and who doesn't want lower cost housing? Check out this map of Detroit. That level of racial segregation is caused by whites intentionally avoiding moving into black neighborhoods and white landlords intentionally not renting to blacks.
