Being depressed in the 'world's happiest country'

I always think these happiness index things are a bunch of B.S. What are the markers in the study?

The Netherlands ranks high in this category, but from my personal experience, a lot of the people are struggling with depression, anxiety and problems associated with housing shortages. Though to give credit where credit is due, when you finally seek and get help in the Netherlands it is excellent. I have personal experience with this.

Yeah when I visited Helsinki, I was with friends having a fine old time and they seemed to be great, but then I could just see desperation in the eyes of people in supermarkets, and generally out in the streets. Don't get me wrong, if I had the money I would move to Helsinki in a second, but it seems like the alcohol and the food were an issue from my limited view.
