Is being gay supposed to be this lonely?

This is what our society does to people. It promises everything, delivers nothing, and then blames you for the deficit. It separates us from our own humanity. It reduces the individual to an interchangeable cog that can be discarded and replaced as easily and indifferently as you would replace a roll of toilet paper. It tells you that the only way out of this is to succeed and be popular and special -- it then uses lies and fantasies, moving pictures, billboards, advertisements, social media, etc... but none of it is real. None of it is designed to reach a greater truth about ourselves or existence... it's designed to make money.

All depictions of humans are fake, so stop comparing yourself to them and even better, stop emulating them. We sell our souls to social media because we're desperate for affection and approval... but the only affection and approval you need is your own. The universe didn't put you on this path and it ain't gonna take you off it, so go ahead and start forging your own, because one day it's gonna end, so might as well make it one that you like... not one that you think other's might approve of -- because even if they do, it's not you they'll approve of, it's your path. End rant.
