The worst thing is that this is a global phenomenon. Liberal feminism(patriarchy) has a larger platform so even in countries where there are bigger problems like female foeticide, girls being denied education, girls not having access to sanitary pads, etc. The women in these countries who do have privilege are participating in western libfem culture. This is terrible because these countries don’t even get to go through the phases of the feminist movement and discussion of radfem ideologies are essentially non-existent. Privileged women in these countries are just gobbling up libfem ideas so no one is even paying attention to the institutional and cultural oppression. “Sex work is work” is being touted by liberal feminists in countries where only homeless women(and their daughters) are essentially kidnapped and pimped and have no other sources of income - that is how toxic liberal feminism is.
