I dunno. The asshole that used to be my roomie openly admitted he likes to be lazy and generally lived only for the next video game release

I’d start the lawn mower and do the entire (large) yard while he knew full well. He’d step outside and congratulate me on the job well done and have no clue why I was angry

Generally was unwilling to lift a finger for himself but perfectly happy to enjoy the benefits of others labors. Kept him in a clean place with comfort

The best I could say was he paid his share of rent. He did at least consistently do that bare minimum

I’m far from thinking people should have to serve capitalism to be worthy, and I do think there’s underlying issues causing a lot of “laziness” but there are people that just enjoy doing as little as possible and have no issue with increasing the workload on others as a result. Or maybe the word here wouldn’t be “laziness” but “selfishness and entitlement”
