A relationship should be about respect. Sometimes it’s easy to fall into that role. As a man, it’s very easy for me to fall into that role at home because I let my wife have hold of the reigns with the children and family life. She doesn’t work, so she accepts this responsibility. I on the other hand, have the reigns on work and making the money. She knows this is my territory and she doesn’t interfere. As I don’t with her rulings on family. We’ve become a lot better at understanding we each share a role in both aspects regardless if we don’t want to. We both discussed this and started communicating much better and involving one another in decisions. Our children know we are one unit. We don’t make decisions alone, we always discuss it.
