my dad didn't start out with a good income, he left school at 16 when his dad died and went to sea with the merchant navy. he worked his arse off for 40 years or more to get where he is, and he's not rich now

i'm not saying low income people have it bad, but your message has the phrase 'we just know we're getting fucked again', which externalises blame for any issues. both my parents dealt with violence and tragedy as kids, and both made it out under their own steam

this is not to blame anyone who doesn't make it out, but simply to illustrate my point that income and anger aren't related. and yeah, sadly life isn't fair. good luck getting your dad the help he can't afford, you sound like a good person who wants the best for their family
