Do you believe in free will? Why or why not?

Whether it was fruitless was never the question, and so if that was your point, then it was completely off-topic.

The question regarded my opinion on it here and now. What happened in the past doesn't matter towards the question itself. And I know that doing it again wouldn't warrant anything because... drum roll... I have. Many times. I've ended up at the same point countless times with no new information.

I think about this scenario often. Before I can reach a new conclusion, I require new information. And since we haven't made any major leaps in time travel recently, I doubt I'm going to get any new information regarding the effects of individual choices throughout time.
