I could totally see that! I think even just the positive-neutral energy can be very calming for them.

While I was raised in it, I don’t personally subscribe to Buddhism. I’m not sure if the way I’ve learned about how karma worked aligns with how you’ve concepted karma, so I can’t really speak to the validity of beliefs and whatnot. As you can see, the messaging around karma is a little convulted but that’s always normal.

I will say though, I think there is a “tiered” version of hell. The only reason why I say this is because when I went to temple for summer camp, I was not spiritually awake. I was only like 13-15 years old. However, I did have an extremely eerie experience with a hungry ghost.

When I was there, I had snuck in a dish that had meat (big no no inside of temple). One of the girls also in camp with me was named Joyce. Joyce and I had a pretty chill friendship but we weren’t close because we only knew each other through temple lol. She always was shyer and more quiet.

One night, she was in my room and I asked if she wanted some of the dish with meat in it. She said yes so I started warming it up. The second I peeled off the film from the bowl, Joyce basically started salivating and acting unlike herself! She started saying some INSANE shit (super out of character for her) about how she needs to eat this, how she would kill just to have a taste of meat again, etc etc. She started violently sobbing and I had to run to get a nun to help me.

By the time we came back, the food had been knocked over and she was crying in a corner saying she doesn’t know what came over her. Super scary so I feel like maybe that might have something to do with the hungry ghost concept.

Also, if you check out my post history, I recently had an intense spiritual revelation. I’ve tried to work through it since it’s only been a week since it happened, but I know very clearly I was put on this earth to make amends by trying to be better than I was in my past life. :/
