Ben Garrison: remember how slavery was a voluntary economic agreement

The two claims are:

1) Providing benefits is a contemporary form of slavery under the nanny state, rendering minorities as dependent on the state, in is case, a Democratic controlled one.

2) Democrats are "buying" minorities with benefits, as in a slave auction, in exchange for an electorate of minorities to take and hold office.

Notice the eyes of black fella. We'll call him Andre. In the first frame, he is looking directly at Colonel Sanders as if piqued by the offer. In the second, Andre's eyes are to the side, as if insulted. In Ben's worldview, Democrats still believe fellas like Andre can be bought, and that Andre, no doubt a proprietor of a small steakhouse or otherwise having had pulled himself up by his bootstraps, as evidenced by his equal attire of suot and tie, is not buying the act (but may well give in anyway, "milking" tax dollars, or whatever the fuck).

What's ironic is that minorities benefit massively from America's meager social safety net and overwhelmingly vote Democratic, which means that in Ben's perspective, minorities are either duped i to thwir allegience, or buy Schumer's bribe, which is just as ofensive as his explicit claim (though he may have had used Reagan's "welfare queen" to demonstrate the latter).I'd say this is his attempt at ethics, showing that Democrats are th"real" racists.

Ben is not claiming that slaves were provided with a social democratic safety net. Colonel Sanders's claim in the first panel is to equate such deceit with Chuck Schumer's identical claim. No wonder you boys can't read Marx, you can't interpret a cartoon.
