Yeah I see that point and I would say that there needs to be a counter point, but not a counter insult. I have known some conspiracy orientated people and they are afraid, uninformed, paranoid and very creatively minded. I feel sorry for them tbh & the last thing I want to do is call them crazy or stupid.

I get it though, most people consider it their moral duty to call out stuff like this, I doubt their intent. I think its a chance to point at someone and laugh. When it's so public and so universally agreed upon that its ok to insult and jeer someone it starts to feel like group bullying. How can someone defend themselves from that? Its unfair, whether what he said was harmful or not.
