Ben Shapiro speaks with Ajit Pai the day before the FCC votes on Net Neutrality.

The "economic incentive" is "make more money." Verizon, AT&T and those clowns have been endlessly gouging their customers for decades and it's worked out just fine for them.

The barriers to entry for competition are too high, infrastructure costs, it's difficult to get out of a contract and move to another carrier - you may lose your phone number, phone, you have other family members on the plan, etc.

For wired internet it's the same thing. Contracts, limited consumer options - most areas have only 2 providers with the same price model (shocking).

It just makes us look bad as Conservatives to approach EVERY regulation issues with "hurr free market competition." I fucking love capitalism but I'm not going to pretend that monopolies, duopolies, and extremely powerful corporate interests don't exist and don't meddle in the workings of the free market.
