Ben Stiller Goes Public With Being Diagnosed With Prostate Cancer at 48

Sadly reddit doesn't allow you to change the title after you post it. I don't fault you for the misleading title - after all, like you just pointed out, most other places are also posting articles with similar/the exact same title. Just wanted to make sure everyone reading this today is aware that Stiller probably isn't in grave peril anytime soon.

THR wrote this:

While surgery was recommended for his "mid-range aggressive cancer," or "intermediately aggressive," Stiller wanted to get a few opinions, but all of the doctors he talked to told him the tumor needed to be removed. Stiller had a "robotic assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy," he writes, and Schaeffer got all of the cancer.

Stiller said he's now two years cancer free and "extremely grateful" but keeps getting a PSA test every six months to make sure. Stiller and his doctor pointed out that he's lucky because the cancer was caught early. Stiller said he wanted to talk about his battle with prostate cancer on Howard Stern to encourage other people to get tested at an early age.
