Bernie Sanders, rising in polls, lands on Time magazine cover: A poll published on Wednesday found Mr Sanders has a lead in New Hampshire – 32 per cent to Mrs Clinton's 29 per cent.

I volunteer. I'm in grad school right now, and I'm going to grad school to help people. It is my life's goal to help people.

I think taxes are important. They go towards fixing our infrastructure like roads and bridges etc, paying our teachers and educating our youth, to police officers and fireman who put themselves in harms way to save us and our livelihoods.

I think these things are what keep society going, they maintain the basic fabric and tie it all together. I also see it as an investment in our citizens, like taking a loan out and buying a home is an investment.

I think educating people is investing. I think keeping them healthy enough to be able to work is an investment. I think providing them with a safety net, like unemployment, keeps them out of the streets long enough to get a job. I think investing in disability empowers the disabled to do more than if they didn't have it. I think investing in society is important. I think that investing in peoples health, their education, the infrastructure, the people to protect them and their property, protecting them from misfortune and tragedy, creates a stronger and more robust society, which gets more done.

I think people who don't want to pay taxes are being selfish and greedy. That they don't want to invest in society, that they don't want to invest in its people. I think they care more about just themselves but don't see all the work of thousands and millions of people who have worked their ass off to give them the lives they have.

I think people who don't want to pay taxes lack gratitude and compassion. So I still think you're greedy and lack compassion, because I think you refuse to invest in society.

To me you're the rich roommate who refuses to pitch in because you're so damn stingy. I don't think you're a team player or want to be a team player, and while I would bust my ass for you and everyone else in the room, all you seem to care about is how you don't want to bust your ass for anyone else. It bothers me. It bothers me a lot.
