Besides Applebees, what is the worst restaurant experience you've ever had?

I went to a place called '[Town name] #1 Fried Rice'. Every meal comes with a side of fried rice. I ordered orange chicken. My husband ordered honey chicken and iced tea. The place had been cleaned with a really strong smelling cleaner so the whole place smelled like citrus bleach and all the tables were sticky. There was only us, and a family who had been waiting when we arrived, who were getting more and more annoyed as their kids got hungry and whiny. No one was standing at the counter, so there was nothing to be done.

15 minutes later, a woman came out and brought our water. We asked her about the tea and she demanded to see our receipt (despite that she had taken the order and the place was not at all busy) before scoffing and agreeing to bring it out. She began to walk back to the kitchen. "Ma'am?" Said the beleaguered dad at the other table. She ignored him and picked up her pace. "Ma'am.*Ma'am!" Reluctantly she went to their table. "I was just wondering if the food might be out soon. Its been 30 minutes and we haven't even seen the appetizer yet. My kids are getting hungry."

She suggested that his wife run across the street and get them a snack from the grocery store, then went back to the kitchen.

30 minutes later the food came out. Fried rice was ok. The chicken was tiny half inch cubes surrounded by giant wads of fried dough. The orange sauce was the same as the honey sauce except that some orange peel had been grated on it, it was ridiculously sweet. She had still forgotten the tea. She said she'd bring it out but didn't. The family finally got their appetizers, but no drinks. By the time we left, they still hadn't gotten their food. We asked for the iced tea at the register, and she claimed they didn't have to-go cups. I pointed out that I had seen someone leave with carryout that had a styrofoam cup with a lid and she finally, reluctantly got the damn tea. It was very much not worth it.
