BEST BUY has the WORST customer support

Okay so here's the deal my guy. Bear in mind this took me about 30 seconds of Googling to figure out.

Yes, there were two programs, the free Gamer's Club and the paid ($30/two years) Gamer's Club Unlocked. In May of 2018, both programs were discontinued, and from that moment on, you could only use GCU benefits as long as there was still time remaining on your membership. Hypothetically, if you signed up in April 2018, you could still have it!

But most likely, you didn't. I'm not surprised that it still shows up on your profile, because we still see Gamer's Club designations on My Best Buy Rewards accounts all the time when we attach them in the POS system. These signifiers will probably still exist everywhere until May of 2020 when the last possible remaining accounts expire completely. I'm sure there's a convoluted back end programming reason for this.

Could Best Buy have done a better job of communicating this information? Yeah, sure, but you probably could've done a better job of researching and troubleshooting the issue before calling support or posting about it here. Bottom line: the program is cancelled, you are not entitled to benefits anymore, and if you were still within the two year window of the Unlocked membership you paid for, you would still have the benefits.
