You can basically predict a lot of topics on Reddit if you've spent enough time here. Guns, circumcision, health care. You know, most things where there is a big divide between US and Europe.

"It shouldn't be the customers job to pay the wages of the waiters, just pay them a living wage."

"They would earn less money if you were to give them a fixed salary."

"But what about the chefs?"

"A lot of places pool their tips so by not tipping you're taking money from my paycheck"

"Just raise the food prices by 20% and get it over with"

"Bosses would just keep more for themselves."

I find it a bit funny though when the topic suddenly changes from the waiter's best interest to the customer's.
