If you (sorry, SWIM... didn't know ppl still used that) can't get your hands on a fancy blender like that...

Cutting up the dried bark into pieces of around 1" / 2cm sq. and then running them through a dedicated coffee grinder is as good. (steel teeth work better than the plastics)

Faster still is to take those shreds and lay them flat and crack them a little by rolling something over them (eg, rolling pin / mug) before grinding.

Best and easiest don't go well together.

While the blender and grinder might be easiest - best is still a good old pestle and mortar and lots of elbow grease.

Then, I'm one of those that will take days to prepare stuff. The process is as important.

Chucking it in gel-caps along with some rue in gel-caps will make up for time spent mashing with the stone, if there's a rush.

Liquids are better, though, I think. Especially if anything's thrown back up. Slow sips to get used to toxicity rather than a sudden pop of noxious substance the stomach wants to purge.
