Well, true, but Williams is a hell of a lot better at it.

"A lot better" is very subjective, and we're hitting a very gray area. I don't think Williams is as good as you are making him out to be. If he's so good why isn't he making top dollar?

Yeah, but Williams/Raji have been asked to do different things. Raji has been playing DE the past couple seasons and you would actually expect higher production from that spot, and it hasn't happened. 6.5 of those sacks came in one season anyway, five years ago. We are talking about very very very negligible sack production from both guys as of late, and again, we don't need sacks from the NT spot, we need run stopping.

So Raji played out of position for a few years. And 6.5 sacks as a 3-4 DE is pretty dang good. You have really high expectations of 3-4 DE's.

Well, you are just being silly in that case.

Why am I being silly? I've watch PFF stats carefully in the past and they are often wrong. Their "stat" is nothing more than a very shallow methodology done over and over. It's nothing more than their opinion to be honest.

No. No he isn't. Raji has not been a good player since his 2010 season.

Yes, he is. He's a much better run disruptor than he's given credit for, and his pass rush is existent.

Daniels lines up as a DE in the base and plays DT when we go into sub packages. He has never once lined up as a true NT ever. He is way too small. Comparing Daniels to Williams and Raji is just insane, they are completely different types of players.

I'm not sure if never lining up as a "true NT" is true or not (I actually think that's an inaccurate statement but I'm too lazy to go look), but lining up as a DT is equivalent to lining up as a NT. I don't think it's fair to call them different positions.

Or, you know, the straight up facts that Williams has been a better player recently.

That will never be a fact. At best, it is an opinion. It's pretty common for fans to get too down on their own players that underachieved at one point.

EDIT: Missed one:

Raji has also played almost twice as many snaps as Williams.

You are using it against Raji that he played more snaps? More snaps is a good thing. Williams couldn't hold up for as many snaps as Raji played, and it's understandable that his efficiency went down for how much he played.
