Best use of grimdarkness in the setting?

But when you stop and think of just HOW MANY people a thousand is, and think of the fact that that many people are dying EVERY DAY, and before that they’re gathered like cattle onto the Black ships like- and forgive my reference- the nazis’ use of cattle cars to bring people to their death camps, and they’ve been ripped away from their families and don’t even know what’s happening... it’s rough. It’s really rough to fully understand that.

When you make the reference to the nazi’s I think you’re underestimating the horror of the Holocaust. 17 million people were killed in the Holocaust over a five-year period. That is nine thousand deaths per day on average, only in Europe. At the darkest moment, over twelve thousand people were killed each day at Auschwitz concentration camp alone.
