Wanna share something odd with you, OP.
I traded in my PS4 close to a year ago for the Pro. It was maybe 2 years old - along with the console itself, I also had to give up one controller and the power cable. I offered the HDMI cable too but the lady at the store said no. Okay, so I kept on using the PS4 Pro with the old cable; with a 1080p TV maybe it didn’t matter.
I just got a 4k TV yesterday, and well, I guess everything works as it is with the PS4. 4K, HDR. I checked the box and the included cable is still there - I’m using my original PS4 cable.
Which is odd because everything I’ve read mentioned that you need an HDMI 2.0 cable (which was included with the PS4 Pro).
Huh.
