I used to be a long-time reader, and when they broke free of their corporate overlords, I helped them pay for their freedom, etc. because the other MMO site just ended up being a hive of scum and villainy that made Mos Eisley look like Mister Roger's Neighborhood.

Then a few months later... the articles on this site just became weird. Like super insular weird, with very little actual discussion amongst users and staff. I wondered if there were advertising dollars going into the site from SWTOR or LOTRO, because most of the news seemed sort of centered around those games.

I revisited it recently, and their complete distaste for Classic WOW leaves me completely puzzled. And that's the only opinion any writer on this site has (out of ten writers?).

I think they need to get writers who actually like the projects they are writing about. There seem to be a select few active MMOs they actually like.
