Best/most accessible translation of the poetic eddas

Dr. Crawford has a PhD in Scandinavian Studies and a MA in Linguistics. He has 8 years as a full-time professor in Scandinavian Studies, teaching courses in Norse language, myth, and sagas, at UCLA (2011-14), UC Berkeley (2015-17), and the University of Colorado Boulder (2017-Present). So he is what I would personally call the current authority on the Old Norse, at least from a linguistic and literary standpoint. He isn't Ásatrú/Heathen/Norse-Pagan and has no agenda or anything to gain from having altered/derivative translations or personal beliefs clouding his books or videos. He simply provides facts and won't say anything derivative, romanticized, or extrapolatory, which frequently upsets some practitioners of various forms of Heathenry/Ásatrú because it doesn't jibe with their beliefs they hold as absolute facts, despite there being no historical evidence to support those beliefs. And there's nothing wrong with belief in those things, but being angry at Dr. Crawford because there's nothing historical backing them up is asinine IMO.
