Best Open World Game 2018: Assassin's Creed Odyssey (PCGamer)

Odyssey was fine/okay but with 60+% of the map being covered in water I have to disagree. Black Flag's time on the water was fun but Odyssey's was a chore to do. Unlike Origins, Odyssey wasn't all that much of a breath of fresh air for the series, maybe even a step back. And all the changes they made to the fighting and weapons kinda irritated me; making you get a perk for the different bow types and other similar things for instance, were unnecessary changes. And for the life of me I swear Ubi said you could use a shield if you didn't want to use the spear and its powers or I suppose I could be thinking of something else. And the characters aren't all that remarkable, main or side. Same with the story, it never really grabbed my attention and the modern day stuff...why even bother with it at this point?

A game I would have liked to see win though would have been Kingdom Come Deliverance. Sure, its reputation isnt that great, but it's some of the most fun I've had playing a game in quite awhile. But that's just my 2 cents.
