Wow thanks! It’s an LG 43UK6300PUE. I mostly use the PS5 for games. Prefer using the built in TV apps for streaming so I can take advantage of Atmos. To my ears in a game it sounds like when I set it to LPCM it plays the same sounds to my rear speakers, but plays different background sounds on Dolby or DTS. I’m also not sure if the audio format effects headphones.

Most people seem to give their recommendations to these types of questions assuming they have the latest TV, soundbar, HDMI, eARC, and any other important specs. I see so much talk on never using Dolby or DTS because of compression, but it sounds like that’s the only way I can get actual surround sound with my setup.
