Best university programs for average IQ individuals?

I don't know the answer to your question. Have you looked into any brain games?

I am an artist and very visual. Now I do a lot of code (not high level stuff but still it is a stretch for me). My 52 year old old brain is much swifter now than it was when I was younger.

Why not take an aptitude test to see what you'll be good at? Are there visual versions of the same information at Kahn Academy or online? Perhaps you learn better if you hear someone speaking the words or you see a visual. Try singing the stuff to yourself.
