The thing is.....in the field I'm in, we are trying to transform an unnecessarily difficult transaction with a lot of back and forth emailing and turn it into a smooth, online transaction.

Similarly to how short term vacation rentals existed on Craigslist before AirBnB. On Craigslist, it probably took a lot of back and forth emails to come to an agreement. Then AirBnB came along and turned it into a transaction that takes a few minutes.

The whole purpose of creating this marketplace was to avoid the "back and forth" negotiating and turn it into a frictionless transaction. Ideally, I want the marketplace to function like AirBnB. The renter requests the hours they would like to rent the product and then the seller has the chance to "accept" the booking before money changes hands. Unfortunately, this isn't possible with Arcadier at the moment. (They say they're working on incorporating it down the road).

I think I am going to just go ahead and launch my MVP with Arcadier though, because it still solves the basic problem I am trying to solve. It still makes this transaction wayyyyyy smoother.

It's not a perfect solution, but IF a double booking or scheduling problems arises, it's not a total nightmare either. The seller can still get in touch with the renter and offer a different time slot or just refund the renter.

At the end of the day, I guess that is the point of a MVP. It's not going to be perfect, but if it solves the main problem, then it's good enough to launch. We should get feedback pretty quickly and see if this something that people actually want. But in my opinion, it's way better to test the idea using an inexpensive platform like Arcadier than to spend thousands of dollars before testing the concept.
