Best way to deal with your dubs partner teaming with someone new?

I'm not gonna give you advice on how to solve your problem, because I don't think i can say anything better than "just talk to him, and live through it" which someone else said.

I am going to wax poetic about the beauty of being involved in a community where this is a possibility.

(You can ignore what follows.)

Many people claim that playing Smash is ecapism, and to a very large extent, it is. But because it's also real life, and because you are forced to interact with actual human beings instead of playing online, devoting yourself to competitive Smash is another way to face real-life problems within a different context. Lost a static doubles partner? Would you have reacted the same way if you lost a business partner? Or a life partner? How do you solve Smash problems? Do you do the same to solve other obstacles presented to you?

I was surprised when I inadvertently discovered that we never really escape from real life, and that we take our fears, habits, and talents with us wherever we go. My failures as a human and my vulnerabilities are still there in Smash and in my play, as are my best assets.

Once you take this experience, remove the Smash veneer and ask yourself why you're upset and actually talk it out with the person, you'll grow as a person and it was within the relatively safe-space of Smash, instead of like a marriage or some dating situation.

Until then, you're a cuck. But that's okay too. We all are at different points of our life.
