So Bethesda is re-releasing Skyrim twice (switch and Skyrim PSVR), is selling additional indie content but SSE hasn't been patched it 4 months and still has major issues. What the hell.

Oh, stop being pedantic.

No one was mad at the Legendary Edition when it was released and on its own, it's fine. The issue is when you look at the entire hardon for Skyrim they have.

  • They released the initial game. Great.
  • They released the LE. Fine, a lot of games get a GOTY edition with all the DLC so no harm done. It's a good deal and is a modern gaming practice that is one decent trade off for having to endure shitty DLC trends.
  • Then only a handful of years later, they rerelease the LE as the SE which has a low end ENB put on top of it and console mod support. Neat, I guess... for console players who really want to play with mods. But like...was it really necessary? Just wait til TES6 and brung mod support there?
  • And now not one but two rereleases, one on the switch and one on PSVR.

Each one of these, on their own, is fine. The collective abundance of rereleases and editions of the game are absurd. People were alresdy sick of the remaster craze that swept this gen early on with games only a few years old getting remasters instead of either new IPs or even remasters of even older titles so SSE was bad but this is just obnoxious when you look at how many times its been rereleased, in some way, over the 6 years since it's debut.
