I agree with you, but I also believe the community is at fault. There's a huge amount of people who play female characters whatever their reasons may be and as such gaming companies just try and focus on making female avatars/characters as good as possible so it attracts the people who play them and it unfortunately results in companies lazily adding women with no character for the sole purpose of marketing imo.

I really hope taleworlds "fixes" how they handle women in bannerlord, and I'm really digging the badass approach more than the "here's a female lord just because"
