Beverage sizes, syrup amounts + shots?

Even though they'll teach you this, it's always great to have a reference to look back on. I apologize if it's really long, these are just things that I either wanted to know right away, or didn't know for the longest time.

Hot sizes (pumps refer to both syrup and sauce from the hot bar)

Short- 8oz (2 pumps, 1 shot) Tall- 12oz (3 pumps, 1 shot) Grande- 16oz (4 pumps, 2 shots) Venti- 20oz (5 pumps, 2 shots)

Cold sizes (do not have a short cup, but the tall and grande are the same size. Pumps refer to both syrup and sauce from the hot bar)

Venti- 24oz (6 pumps, 3 shots) Trenta- 30oz (7 pumps, no shots unless otherwise stated for an iced coffee, for example)

The only drink that gets pumps from the cold bar is the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew. They get the same amount of pumps from the Tall-Trenta sizes.

Frappuccinos may only be made in tall, grande, and venti iced cups. You may never blend a hot beverage in the blenders.

Tall- 2 pumps Grande- 3 pumps Venti- 4 pumps

A customer can customize and add syrup (ex. Toffee Nut) /sauce (ex. Pumpkin) from the hot bar (the pump sizes are different from cold bar).

Tall- 1 pump syrup, 1 pump sauce Grande 2 pumps syrup, 2 pumps sauce Venti 3 pumps syrup, 2 pumps sauce

I can't remember which Frappuccinos don't get whipped cream. From what I remember it's just the coffee frap and espresso frap, but it's still always nice to ask if they'd like any on top.

Java Chip and Double Chocolatey Chip Fraps come with mocha drizzle, but not the Mocha Frap.

Strawberries & Cream and the Green Tea Fraps are the only Fraps with classic added unless otherwise stated (I don't know if the standard changed on the green tea frap to be made without classic, but my store still does it).

Americanos are just shots and water. They get an extra shot, and may get it hot or iced.

Tall- 2 shots Grande- 3 shots Venti 20oz- 4 shots Venti 24oz, 5 shots

Lattes are just shots and milk (whether steamed or chilled). They follow the normal shots for the sizes. For iced milk is poured to the third line.

Iced coffee is brewed just like hot coffee, only it is put in a pitcher and filled with ice. The standard to an iced coffee is classic syrup and 2% milk. Hot coffee does not come standard with any sugar or cream (which a customer could get at the condiment bar).

Some things that are good to know:

Hot chocolate is made with mocha AND vanilla. It also gets mocha drizzle.

Short- 2 mocha, 1 vanilla Tall- 3 mocha, 1 vanilla Grande- 4 mocha, 2 vanilla Venti- 5 mocha, 2 vanilla

Red eye is brewed coffee with 1 shot Black eye is brewed coffee with 2 shots Green eye is brewed coffee with 3 shots

A misto is half brewed coffee, half steamed milk.

A flat white is steamed whole milk and an extra ristretto shot. (Ristretto shots are shots pulled in a lesser amount of time. People say this is sweeter than regular shots since it doesn't contain as much water).

Short- 2 ristretto shots Tall- 2 ristretto shots Grande- 3 ristretto shots Venti- 4 ristretto shots

The Starbucks Double Shots are only iced. Standard is classic syrup and gets topped off with 2%

Tall- 2 shots, 2 pumps of syrup Grande- 3 shots, 3 pumps of syrup Venti- 5 shots, 5 pumps of syrup

This is the only espresso drink that will be made in a shaker.

The only lattes that don't get espresso are the London Fog Tea Latte (english breakfast tea, vanilla syrup, steamed milk), Earl Grey Tea Latte (earl grey tea, classic, steamed milk), Green Tea Latte (milk, classic, matcha) and the Chai tea latte (chai, half water, half milk)

-Iced chais do not get water. -Green tea lattes can be made hot or cold. I'm not sure if it still comes standard with sweeter (my store still does it). -You can make the London fog and earl grey tea lattes cold, it's just a pain, lol. I also don't remember if i got the syrups correct on them; I always seem to get them mixed up.

Only charge for Breve, Coconut, Almond, and Soy milk when it's 4oz or over (usually if they just say a splash of it, don't charge). Whole, not fat, 2% (and I guess heavy cream?) don't get charged. If someone knows about the heavy cream, lemme know lol.

Customers can substitute one syrup for another. For example, the Iced Coffee comes standard with Classic. But, if someone wants Sugar Free Vanilla instead, don't charge then. If they want both syrups, charge 50 cents. Now I've been reading that if they substitute a syrup for a sauce (no classic, white mocha instead) then they get charged 60 cents. My store doesn't do this though, even my manager does it and won't charge soooo. I'd ask about that.

Hot coffees are Blonde/Light, Medium, and Dark/Bold. The medium roast will always be Pike's Place. I've been told that blonde contains the most caffeine, so that's always good to know.

Passion, green, and black teas are standard with water and classic syrup and ALWAYS shaken unless otherwise stated. -Refreshers only get water and their fruit inclusions, no sweeter unless otherwise stated.

And above all, study your cards and do NOT be afraid to ask questions! And anyone, feel free to correct me on anything. I'm still learning myself :)
