Beware of the mental load that comes with a new baby, and get ready to share it with your partner! (And also just read this fun comic)

Real talk: the part about outsourcing being dismissed as problematic due to the types of people who accept those jobs... How do you guys feel about that? Because while my spouse and I have a very equitable split of home-based labor (mental, emotional, and physical), we’ve also found outsourcing certain tasks to be beneficial. We are grateful for this privilege and aware that this is not something available to all families.

We also acknowledge that often immigrants are hired for these positions, and our case is no exception. We always pay generously (or what I consider generous, I guess) and insist everything’s above the table. Is there more we could be doing on that front? Is this truly problematic?
