Beyond the meter: Intangibles to improve your game in raids and fractals

I've been getting really tired of joining "EXP" groups that are clearly not experienced. I've been hoping the community would start using more diverse metrics, like "Advanced", to denote groups where the requirements are above just having completed the fight once or twice, but I doubt it would work. People who belong in training or experienced would likely join the advanced groups just to get their clears and "ADV" would quickly become EXP 2.0. I've taken to trying to get my clears only at reset with groups advertising DD/VitV or several hundred+ LIs because if you pug at any other time of the week you will get people joining groups listed as EXP who have no idea what the mechanics actually do.

Funnily enough, I really don't care about much outside of mechanics. I'm of the opinion that DPS as a role is just as important as being a mechanically competent Druid or Chronomancer, and so I do get irked by people with bad rotations or low DPS because it's akin to having bad boon uptimes, but every raid fight is clearable with mediocre DPS as long as people know the mechanics. So in that case I'm really lenient with people who don't have good rotations, or just want to play their favorite DPS, because it's not that big a deal, and I'd never call someone out for playing an off-meta class if it's what they enjoy. But, good god, please just know what's actually going on and be able to adapt if something goes wrong.
