Biden signs executive order paving way for Medicaid to pay for out-of-state abortions

The only dumb one here is you. The Supreme Court’s decision only makes abortion no longer constitutionally protected. It doesn’t mean the federal government is barred from doing anything abortion related.

Only a constitutional amendment could do that.

Right now neither party can pass an abortion law in congress as they don’t have the votes to legalize or criminalize it which is why it’s currently up to each state.

Once either party gets enough votes and has the presidency they’ll pass an abortion law that will override any state laws because there is nothing in the constitution that makes abortion a state only decision.

So in the future we’ll have periods of time when abortion is illegal nationwide and times when it’s legal. Changing anytime a new party comes into party and has the votes.
