I just oppose the identity politics of such decisions and wish Biden hadn’t come out and stated that this was his intention to only consider black women for a Supreme Court nomination. Even if he was planning on doing so anyway, he has made that persons’s nomination legitimately questionable in regards to whether or not they were elected purely because of their race and gender, rather than for their credentials and merit primarily. Just a very very out of touch call on Biden’s part. I wish our party would stop absolutely obsessing over race and instead work toward improving the lives of those that are poor and disadvantaged
