Big Brother is Always Watching: Google Admits it Tracks Users - Android News

Ummm... multiplatform projects? My first 4 years after college I worked on a project that was supported on windows, various flavors of Linux, AIX, and Solaris. We had the choice of developing in whichever environment we wanted, most used windows but there were a few older guys who liked vim. I spent 90% of my time in visual studio, testing my code in windows and then pushing to our CI system which built all platforms. Occasionally I would open up an Ubuntu VM to test something that worked differently in Linux, and twice I had the displeasure of attempting to remote debug in AIX via terminal. Our makefiles and solution management stuff were handled by the CI team, I never needed to open them. I left that company knowing about a dozen commands in Linux.
