Big confusion with Affects Objects

Well, Immunity states:

You are immune to certain effects, automatically succeeding on any resistance check against them.

Whilst Affects Objects says:

Objects do not get resistance checks; the effect works on the targeted object at its maximum degree of success.

So if affects objects work on constructs, their Immunity means nothing, there is no resistance check in the first place.

The question becomes, do constructs count as objects? Only thing I got was:

Creatures with no Stamina suffer and recover from damage like inanimate objects

Going by this logic, a character with no Stamina would take take Damage (Alternate Resistance: Fortitude, Affects Objects) like an inanimate object, meaning no resistance check at all.

TBH, I find this dumb and would never rule it like this. But still, that's one interpretation.
