It's not the age difference that's the issue, it's more the fact that he immediately sought you out when you were 19 and he was 29.

I myself have been in a similar situation recently (I'm 32M and my friend is 24F when she asked me out). The main difference is that it wasn't instant attraction and I ended up telling her no, but more importantly...we both had a discussion about potential power dynamics and maybe taking advantage of each other (I had just got out of a difficult time and the age gap might've allowed me to groom her even at mid-20s).

If he's not able to at least recognize that this dynamic may exist (even if subconsciously) then that IMO you should at least have the conversation. It's only been 6 months but when you start intertwining your lives together the power dynamics may come into play (ex: I'm older I know better).
