A big list of questions for people who have been living as openly nonbinary for a while

1.) I tell people I'm nonbinary, queer, not male or female, gay, really gay, a fairy prince, depends on how serious the situation is and whether or not I'm trying to make them feel comfortable with giggles 2.) I haven't yet, but I'm planning on a double mastectomy and some low does testosterone 3.) Sometimes I pass as a 14 year old boy, but most people think I look like a lesbian. I wear boy's jeans and usually just t-shirts or button downs. 4.) I use male pronouns, but I'm not super strict about it unless I'm having a particularly dysphoric day 5.) I use the nickname I've had since childhood since it's gender neutral. 6.) I will typically immediately correct pronoun use, but won't explain my gender unless asked directly. 7.) People tend to react fairly positively, if a bit confused or baffled. Sometimes they ask if I'm trans, and when I say no they usually want me to kind of clarify. 8.) I date mostly "straight" guys. Heteroflexible guys. Dating sites suck, but I usually put nonbinary in my profile somewhere. 9.) I probably won't make many or any legal changes. Too much hassle for not enough pay off. 10.) On some forms I pick male, like for dating sites and surveys, but on medical forms I choose female. With bathrooms I usually use the women's but sometimes I find my balls (HA) and use the men's. 11.) Therapists range from quietly confused to excited interest. Medical doctors tend to gloss over it. 12.) I make assumptions just like anyone, but I do try and refer to people with neutral terms until they tell me one way or the other what they prefer. 13.) Right now, not very. I live in a tiny rural town where there isn't a lot of opportunity to meet or support other LGBTQ people. I'm moving to a city soon though and hope to get involved in local organizations there. 14.) I don't call myself trans, even though I could, because something about the label doesn't sit right with me and my identity. I prefer nonbinary, and I do tell people I'm gay or queer. 15.) Yes, I do. Mostly with regard to my breasts. Eugh. 16.) N/A and never having kids everrrrrrrrr 17.) I discovered my identity at the end of my freshman year of college and started coming out my fall semester of my sophomore year. 18.) The biggest problem is looking like an actual child. I'm afraid I'll never look like an adult and that all the guys I date will always look like fucking pedophiles walking around with me. I get carded frequently and sometimes my ID is denied and I have to blow up and dig through my wallet for other forms of ID to prove that I'm not 14.

I never thought I was trans, never wanted to "fully" transition and still don't.
