Bill Gates and Melinda Gates are splitting up after 27 years

Ok, so I was with you in the first bit. I started dating an awesome woman last year and we spent a whole lot of time together. We had nowhere else to be, enjoyed each other's company, and really sparked. We had been dating less than 6 months when we had our first serious conversation about marriage (not "do you want to", but "do you want to with me")

I'm single now, partially due to us rushing it, partially due to family obligations, and partially due to a communication failure that we probably could have worked out but I have more pride than is good for me. If either of the second two hadn't happened I would be married right now. I'm glad I'm not married, but I'm sad about how it ended because she's one of the best people I've ever known.

Now for the second part, we talked about a zoom call with both our parents. That was it. I couldn't imagine knowing 150 people I would want to be around before Covid.
