Bill Nye says trust in science is key to beating COVID-19 and climate change

It's so frustrating how binary people are with their thinking. It's either all good or all bad. One inconsistency leads people to lazily conclude they can't trust any of it but at the same time, they're completely inconsistent in their own thinking because more convenient research, even if it's pseudo-science, captures them hook, line & sinker. But that's the thing. They want science to be convenient to their world view because it's easier and they don't have to adapt.

I wish people who might be considered "science deniers" would understand that it's OKAY to be skeptical about things you don't know for sure. Change your approach as the evidence reveals the best options. Don't throw it all away because a few things aren't 100%. There's a lot that's really clear... For example, it's well established (and has been for a long time) that masks reduce spread of illness. It's common sense that staying home will obviously help reduce the risk, too. It's also well established that COVID is a REAL THING. Lots of us know people who have had it. Some have lost friends and family while others were hospitalized. Just because officials have been somewhat inconsistent about things like this doesn't mean you should deny the existence of the virus. It's fucking lazy to just cherry pick info that's already aligned with your worldview.
