Bin Laden’s son asked US for death certificate

And my point is if what you claim to be repeating is what he actually stated, then he clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. So either he's wrong or you are. You make that determination. I can only go by what you've told me.

Having a stack doesn't mean you're knowledgeable about everything that pertains to your field. He isn't out there taking the coriolis effect into consideration when he goes shooting because he doesn't need to. He hasn't gone to school to learn ballistics because he doesn't need to. That isn't part of his job, and it's mostly useless information to him.

As for your badge, and it's kind of ridiculous that there's even a badge for this, though you guys seem obsessed with badges, ribbons and patches so it kind of makes sense:

Currently, it is awarded to U.S. Army personnel who hold infantry or special forces military occupational specialties. To be awarded the EIB, the soldier must complete a number of prerequisites and pass a battery of graded tests on basic infantry skills.

So, as an infantryman, you go to a school house, perform some tasks, and pass some tests. Literally every school ever. Again, I don't know why this is a big deal for you.

But here's the thing. None of this is relevant. I asked you to provide information backing your claims. You've provided none. You won't even tell me your MOS. So here's the deal. Keep hiding behind a guy you met before you're even really a soldier. Don't bother fact checking what you're taught. Don't bother questioning what you're told because you heard it from a guy with a stack. That's fine. Just don't try to educate others when you don't have a grasp on what's true and what isn't.

Also, keep in mind you're the one who brought your service up for absolutely no reason. Your information was wrong to begin with, and you decided to reinforce it by stating you were in the Army. What you didn't do was tell people what your job is. My experience as an infantryman is relevant. My experience on combat deployments is relevant. But you know what? I don't even fall back solely on that. I listen to what I was taught by actual combat instructors, and not my Drill Instructors. And then you know what I do? Fact check. Because information is useless if it isn't true.

This isn't an Army vs. Marine thing. This is you being wrong and me correcting you. Accept the correction and move on. You got butthurt simply because I mentioned I was Marine in your very first post to me. "JUST BECAUSE YOURE A MARINE DOESNT MEAN YOURE RIGHT!" And you're absolutely right. That's why I provided evidence. It would do you well to know that just because you're a soldier doesn't mean you're right. Especially if you aren't even an infantryman by trade, or at least an armorer.
